We do a lot of motorcycle buying and picking them up in Georgia. This gives us a great opportunity to see the countryside. Here is one place we recommend visiting and riding through.

Located in Georgia, The Chattahoochee National Forest is known for its finest natural resources and outdoor recreation opportunities. Featuring approximately 867,000 acres across 26 counties, this trail consists of clear-running streams, rivers, campgrounds and picnic areas. Not only that, but this scenic area is rich in history, as well as culture.

The Chattahoochee National Forest is fairly popular for its diversity. Many believe that this national forest is a hiker’s paradise. I mean, who would argue that? With its winding trails (including the Appalachian Trail), rolling hills and cascading waterfalls, this natural scenery will have you itching for more. Well, cross the border into Tennessee and find more!

Tennessee Riding

Along with The Chattahoochee National Forest, Chattanooga, Tennessee is known for many great things as well. One thing, in particular, is its riding trails. The Athena Mountain Adventures is an off-road park that opened to the general public back in 2015. Offering over 1,000 acres of mud pits, rugged 4×4 trails and play areas, this park is available year-round and is open to all vehicle types.

Although membership is required, the Athena Mountain Adventures hosts monthly general admission rides–in which allows for non-members to ride along the property for a small fee. Below are the directions as to how to get there.

From Chattanooga, TN:

1. Take I-24 to exit 174
2. Turn right off of the exit ramp onto US-41
3. Continue that for 1.5 miles
4. Turn left onto West Hills Drive
5. Continue that for about .5 miles
6. Campground entrance will be on your right-hand side
